Sister Allie King: June 20, 2016

HI, so sorry I have no time whatsoever to write but UPDATES!

I've been released as an STL to, wait for it..... TRAIN!!!! I’M SO EXCITED!! I'll be going to the College Heights Ward on the east side of Bakersfield, my greenie’s name is Sister Clegg and I know nothing about her but I hear the area has a lot of potential, hallelujah ;) I already know people in that ward! I’m picking up Sister Clegg today, even though transfer is tomorrow, so I’m special! We’ll be getting her at the president’s house. I feel pretty good about this, I loved being an STL but I’m just sick of being that busy all the time, I’m ready for a break and to just focus on the work in my area.

I cried for 2 hours when I found out I was leaving Berkshire but ALL IS WELL, I’m so grateful for my time here and for everyone we met! This week was full of goodbyes but also miracles. O.’s cousin N. moved in with them and wants to be baptized, so we were able to teach her the first 2 lessons. The M. family threw me a birthday party since they knew it’s in a few weeks. I miss this place already

It’s not too hot yet, but it’ll be rough this week.....

I listened to Battle Hymn of the Republic and this one line stood out to me, "as He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free." Sums up the mission perfectly, I love this opportunity and AGAIN I’M SORRY IT’S SHORT BUT I LOVE YOU ALL, I’LL LET YOU KNOW ALL ABOUT COLLEGE HEIGHTS!!
